About us

Part W is a group of women working in architecture, design, infrastructure and construction committed to challenging systems that disadvantage women and calling for gender mainstreaming in the built environment

We are impatient for equality. We call out gender discrimination in an industry that routinely excludes.

We are driven by a desire to see places and spaces being designed and delivered in a manner that is open, supportive and beneficial to all.

We are inspired by the possibility of public projects and infrastructure schemes that enable, help and support everybody - and we develop actions and campaigns that contribute towards drawing attention to the importance of the built environment sector being a more inclusive place to work.

We are pushing for intersectional thinking and are developing a series of actions intended to support women and girls from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, across generations and with different experiences.
